Cory Morrow
Cory Morrow was born in 1972 in Houston, Texas. He started playing guitar while he was a
cheerleader at Memorial High School, in west suburban Houston. Cory graduated from Memorial and
attended Texas Tech until 1993 when he decided to move to Austin, Texas to write and play music full-time.
Cory has played almost every significant venue in every major market in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth,
College Station, Lubbock, and several other smaller markets in addition to numerous festivals. Some of the better
known venues are Luckenbach, Gruene Hall, Shadow Canyon, The Library, Stubb's, Satellite Lounge, Blanco's,
and Billy Bob's Texas.
Cory has had the chance to open up for dozens of Texas greats like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard,
Jerry Jeff Walker, David Allen Coe, and Chris Wall. He has also opened up for many of his comtemporaries
like Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Todd Snider, and Charlie Robison. Cory has also played with Reckless Kelly,
John Evans, Owen Temple, and Adam Carroll. Since 1995, he has sold close to 14,000 copies of his 3
independently produced and recorded CDs.
