Eric Williams
Eric Williams founded Applied Sports
Technology (AST) in January of 2001. His unique background
as an athlete and businessman has provided him with
the knowledge and drive to successfully lead AST.
Eric reached the height of his athletic
career as a Defensive Tackle with the Washington Redskins
when they defeated Buffalo in Super Bowl XXVI. He
completed his NFL career -- which included six years
with the Detroit Lions and four with the Redskins
-- in 1994.
Entering the business field, and
having a high degree of interest and knowledge in
technology, Williams was a perfect candidate to start
up two videoconferencing companies and help them become
recognized leaders in their field. At View Tech, Eric
managed the sales outlets and assisted senior management
in the preparation for a successful Initial Public
Offering in 1995.
Eric went on to manage the sales
outlets and raise capital for Providea Solutions.
Before leaving Providea in July of 2001, Williams
personally raised $700,000 of private investment capital
and assisted the company in exceeding its sales goals.
Eric stays active with the NFL through his membership
in the National Football League Players Association.
Educated at Washington State University, he majored
in Agriculture Economics. He is the father of two
children and resides in Frisco, TX.
