Gary Valentine
Gary Valentine steals the show with
his blend of comedy, improv, and imagination. Gary has been headlining in the
stand-up comedy world for fourteen years.
A native New Yorker, Gary wasn't
drawn to show business until after college. He had been a ham his whole life,
but never thought of using this asset to procure a living. After he joined the
family business selling insurance, Gary's mother entered him in an open-mic night
at a local club. One taste of the limelight and Gary was hooked. He started performing
stand-up comedy all over New York. Two years later he quit the insurance business
for good to go on the road and refine his act. Gary spent the next ten years building
his comedic routine all over the country and later in comedy festivals and on
television shows.
After headlining at the Montreal Comedy Festival, Gary
moved to Los Angeles. He secured a role as a recurring character on the hit television
show THE KING OF QUEENS, and even co-wrote three episodes (with his brother Kevin
James) for the series. He appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, THE LATE
LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG KILBORN, and LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN. Gary got his
feet wet in the world of hosting on DIRECT TV. That experience helped Gary land
as a co-host on FX's THE X SHOW. He was elevated to series regular on THE KING
OF QUEENS starting in season four. He also starred in his own half-hour comedy
special on COMEDY CENTRAL.
This is Gary’s third appearance with Lone
Star Classic.
