Gary Valentine
Gary Valentine steals the show with
his blend of comedy, improv, and imagination. Gary has been headlining in the
stand-up comedy world for fifteen years.
A native New Yorker, Gary wasn't
drawn to show business until after college. He had been a ham his whole life,
but never thought of using this asset to procure a living. After he joined the
family business selling insurance, Gary's mother entered him in an open-mic night
at a local club. One taste of the limelight and Gary was hooked. He started performing
stand-up comedy all over New York. Two years later he quit the insurance business
for good to go on the road and refine his act. Gary spent the next ten years building
his comedic routine all over the country and later in comedy festivals and on
television shows.
After headlining at the Montreal Comedy Festival, Gary moved to Los Angeles.
He appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO,
THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG KILBORN, and LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN.
Gary got his feet wet in the world of hosting on DIRECT TV. That experience helped Gary land a position
as a co-host on FX’s THE X SHOW. He recently co-hosted the THANKS-
GIVING DAY PARADE on CBS. He starred in his own half-hour comedy special
COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS GARY VALENTINE.
Gary is a series regular on the hit television show THE KING OF QUEENS,
which has just finished shooting its eighth season, and can also be seen in the
Farrelly Brothers’ film “STUCK ON YOU”, starring Matt Damon & Greg Kinnear.
This is Gary’s fourth appearance with Lone
Star Classic.
