G. W. Bailey

Best known as Capt. Harris in the POLICE ACADEMY film series and as Sgt. Rizzo on the MASH television series, G.W. has starred in numerous films and television series over a 30 year career. From Dr. Hugh Beale in the first season of ST. ELSEWHERE to Big Jim in the JEFF FOXWORTHY SHOW, G.W. has built his career on creating a gallery of versatile characters. In films he has appeared in such diverse fare as MANNEQUIN, SHORT CIRCUIT, BURGLAR, and RUSTLER'S RHAPSODY among others. On television he has appeared in such mini-series such as RUBY RIDGE; AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY, MURDER IN TEXAS and JESUS. Last year G.W. appeared off Broadway in the musical ROADSIDE and will be heard as the voice of Dusty the Dog in the Disney animated feature, SWEATING BULLETS.

He is presently the Executive Director for the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to children with cancer. The national office is located in Houston.
