Louie Kelcher
Born in Beaumont, Texas, Louie James
Kelcher played for Southern Methodist University,
where he was All Southwest Conference from 1972 to
1974 and All American in 1974. He was also a finalist
in 1974 for the Vince Lombardi Award.
Kelcher played for the San Diego
Chargers from 1975 to 1983 and was recognized during that time as both All Pro
and All Conference.
In 1984, Kelcher continued his career
with the San Francisco 49'ers and became a member of the Winning Superbowl XIX
Team before his retirement in 1985.
Kelcher's accomplishments
off the field include acting roles in North Dallas Forty, Semi-Tough, and Scavenger
Hunt.
He is married to his wife, Mary Lynne, and has three
daughters, Kaitlin, Kelsey, and Lauren, and one son, Louie.
