Will Wynn

Austin's Mayor, Will Wynn was born and raised in Beaumont and graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Environmental Design. His roots run deep in Austin where his ancestors were early settlers, merchants and politicians.
Will has over two decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry handling major projects in and around Austin. Will and his wife, Ann Elizabeth are very active in the community with such organizations as the Hill Country Conservancy, St. David's Foundation, Women and Their Work, KLRU, the Blanton Museum, the Austin Poetry Slam and the Austin Film Society. Will has served as Chair of the Downtown Austin Alliance and Director for the Children's Museum and the Heritage Society of Austin.

Elected to the Austin City Council in May, 2000, Will's work was primarily focused on transportation issues, public safety, affordable housing, habitat and open-space conservation, and regional planning. Will was then elected to be the 50th Mayor of Austin on May 3, 2003.

Mayor Will loves listening to Guy Clark's music and canoeing with his two daughters on Town Lake.
